Rob is a property law specialist. He maintains a general practice of law, while focusing on real estate law, assisting his clients in buying, selling, and structuring businesses, commercial litigation, estate planning, and trusts and estates.

Rob is a Board Certified Real Property Law Specialist by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Less than two percent of Minnesota attorneys have received this certification. A client who retains a real property law specialist has an attorney who has extensive experience and training in real estate law, including continuing specialized education, and who has passed an examination administered by the State Bar Association. If you would like further information on the significance and benefits of specialization, please contact Rob.

A native of Fergus Falls, Rob received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and then attended the U of M Law School, receiving his law degree in 1980. His decision to return to Fergus Falls wasn't a hard one for him. Rob says he is proud of Fergus Falls-it's a great place both to live and to work.

Since returning to his hometown, Rob has been a very active community volunteer and leader. His leadership efforts have included serving as a president of Lakeland Hospice, Fergus Falls Area United Way, the Kiwanis Club, and the Fergus Falls YMCA. He has further served his community as a United Way campaign leader, a leader in YMCA building expansion, and as president of the Fergus Falls Area Community Foundation.

Rob and his wife, Gretchen, are active members of Grace United Methodist Church. They both have a background in competitive swimming and have enjoyed watching their three children participate in the sport. In addition, Rob enjoys singing in a men's chorus and with his church choir.
