Growing up in Alexandria, Minnesota, Nick gained an appreciation for living in a small, close-knit community. Despite moving away for college, Nick knew he would return to the area to begin his career.

Nick graduated with honors from St. Cloud State University with an undergraduate degree in political science. A Juris Doctorate Degree followed at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul in 2002. Nick is licensed to practice in state and federal court in Minnesota.

Nick has focused his law practice primarily in estate planning, probate law, business succession, real estate law, agricultural law and business/corporate law. Nick represents a variety of clients, including individuals, title companies, banks, cities, employers, businesses and farmers. Nick has been intricately involved in drafting complex estate plans and business succession planning, including the formation of family trusts and limited liability companies, corporations and partnerships, in addition to drafting insurance trusts.

Nick and his wife Jennifer, along with their three children, reside in Alexandria and have joined a number of community activities.

Nick has participated in a number of community activities including the Area Leadership Program, the YMCA Board, as a Board member of Kiwanis, a board member of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority, and is a former board member of the nonprofit District 544 Foundation. Nick and Jen are also involved in Church activities.

Nick's interests include spending time with family, golf, basketball, reading, softball, and woodworking.
