What Katrina’s Clients Say

  • "Katrina is a sparkling gem. I cannot even begin to find the words to show my gratitude for all of the support, patience and guidance she exhibited during my painful divorce.  Katrina went over and above her duties with me. I have an enormous amount of respect and admiration for her and everything she has done for me."

Katrina Wass is a partner at Pemberton Law’s Fergus Falls office and practices family law which includes divorce, child custody, adoption and child support.  Katrina was named a Minnesota “Rising Star” in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016 by Minnesota Law and Politics Magazine.

An Underwood, Minnesota, native, Katrina grew up on her family’s farm on Pleasant Lake near Underwood.  Pemberton allows her to remain in her hometown, which she appreciates.  Katrina received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, graduating summa cum laude in 2000, before moving to Kansas City, Missouri, where she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri in 2003.  Katrina is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Minnesota and North Dakota.

Community leadership and volunteer work have always played an important role in Katrina's life. She is currently a board member of the Underwood Education/Community Foundation and the Chair of Pemberton’s Community Service Committee.

Katrina worked as a summer associate at Pemberton while pursuing her legal degree, putting her education into practice and solidifying her desire to return home. While her heart is in Minnesota, Katrina's first passion is traveling. She has experienced many parts of the world—from Venezuela to Kenya and beyond. Katrina enjoys golf, volleyball, and spending time outdoors. She and her husband Lee Larsen live east of Underwood with their two daughters.
